VATICAN CITY, February 25, 2011 (VIS). The Holy Father appointed:

Mgr.Giuseppe-Pellegrini, Bishop of Concordia-Pordenone (area 2,675, population 359,334, Catholics 351,350, priests 306, permanent deacons 16, religious 305), Italy. The bishop-elect was born in 1953 in Monteforte d'Alpone (Italy) and ordained in 1979, was previously vicar general of the diocese Verona (Italy). He succeeds Mgr.Ovidio Poletto, whose resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese was accepted age limit.

-The Rev. William J. Waltersheid, Auxiliary Bishop of Pittsburgh (USA). The bishop-elect was born in 1956 in Ashland (USA) and ordained in 1992, was previously vicar bishop of that diocese.
