-Mgr.Peter Joseph Hundt Appointed, Bishop of Corner Brook and Labrador (area 154,258, population 120,007, Catholics 42,142, priests 43, religious 22), Canada. He was previously Assistant to the Archbishop of Toronto (Canada).
-Vu Huy Chuong Mgr.Antoine Appointed, Bishop of Da Lat (area 9,764, population 1,250,000, Catholics 336,201, priests 203, religious 1,104), Vietnam. He was previously bishop of Hung Hoa (Vietnam).
-Appointed Mgr.Jean Seen Tat-Marie, Bishop of Hung Hoa (area 54,352, population 7,038,000, Catholics 206,510, priests 70, religious 213), Vietnam. He was previously Assistant to the same diocese.

Until Auxiliary Bishop of London (Canada), he succeeded Mgr.Martin William Currie, whose resignation from the pastoral care of the diocese has been accepted under the canon 401.2 CIC.

The bishop-elect was born in 1945 in Aleppo (Syria) and ordained in 1972, was previously Vicar General of the Exarchate. He succeeds Mgr.Iwannis Louis Awad, whose resignation was accepted.
Mgr.Boutros Moshe-Appointed, Archbishop of Mosul of the Syrians (Catholics 36,000, priests 37, religious 74), Iraq. The bishop-elect was born in 1943 in Qaraqosh (Iraq) and ordained in 1968, was previously Vicar of this Church.
Mgr.Youssif Abba-Appointed, Archbishop of Baghdad Syrian (Catholics 18,000, priests: 6) in Iraq. The bishop-elect was born in 1951 in Qaraqosh (Iraq) and ordained priest in 1978, was far Chancellor of the Syro-Catholic Eparchy of the United States of America and Canada. He succeeds Matti Shaba Matoka Mgr.Athanase, whose resignation was accepted.
Mgr.Jihad Battah-Appointed, Bishop of the Syrian Catholic Patriarchal Curia. The bishop-elect was born in 1956 in Damascus (Syria) and ordained in 1991, was previously Vicar of this Church.
